1. Who We Are

AccentAbility is operated by Accentability, registered in South Korea. We provide a global pronunciation training app available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For privacy-related inquiries, you may contact us at: contact@accentability.com

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of data:

• a. Account Information
  Email address, name, and login credentials when signing up with Google, Facebook (Meta), or email.
• b. Profile Information
  Profile image (uploaded by user)
  Name (optional, may be real name)
  Country or region of residence (used for display on the leaderboard and profile)
• c. Audio Data
  Your latest pronunciation recording is stored in the app's "History" section for your personal practice only.
  Each pronunciation submission is sent to a third-party pronunciation scoring API provider.
  Audio is processed temporarily and deleted immediately after scoring.
• d. Usage Data
  Analytics related to feature usage, performance, and engagement.
  We do not currently track device IDs, IP addresses, or precise geolocation.
• e. Future Advertising Data
  We may integrate third-party advertising and analytics tools such as Meta, Google Ads, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, or TikTok in the future.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data for the following purposes:

• To operate and maintain your account
• To analyze performance and improve the Service
• To personalize your learning experience
• To process pronunciation scoring using external APIs
• To display rankings and profiles (e.g., leaderboard)
• For customer service and support
• For lawful marketing and communication

4. Data Sharing and Processors

We do not sell your personal data. However, we share data with trusted service providers:

• Pronunciation scoring API provider (processes and deletes your audio immediately after scoring)
• AWS (stores profile and account data securely)
• Google / Facebook (if used for sign-in)
• Future Ad Partners (if you consent, used for analytics and personalization)

5. Data Retention

• Your audio recordings are retained only in the History section (your most recent one) unless overwritten.
• Other personal data is stored securely on AWS and retained until you delete your account.
• Your practice and challenge History is retained temporarily and automatically cleared each month to ensure optimal app performance and a fresh learning experience.

6. Account and Data Deletion

Currently, we do not offer in-app data export or deletion. However, if you wish to delete your account or data, please contact us at contact@accentability.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age.

8. International Users

As AccentAbility is accessible globally, your data may be transferred to and stored in South Korea and other countries where our servers and partners operate.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email.

10. Your Privacy Rights

If you visit our website (accentability.com), we may collect and use the following information:

If you provide your email address to subscribe to updates or early access, we collect:

• The date of subscription

We process your personal data based on your consent, our legitimate interest in improving the Service, or compliance with legal obligations.

2. Cookies and Third-Party Content

We do not directly place tracking cookies. However, our website loads certain resources (e.g., stylesheets, scripts, or fonts) from trusted third-party CDNs such as:

• JSDelivr
• Swiper.js
• Google Fonts or similar

These providers may collect anonymous technical data such as browser type or region for performance and analytics. We do not have access to or control over that data.
If we integrate tools like Google Analytics, YouTube embeds, Meta Pixel, or similar in the future, we will update this policy accordingly and implement a cookie consent banner as required.
