By accessing or using the AccentAbility app (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country, if higher) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
Payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g., Apple, Google, or Paddle). Your payment information is handled according to their respective privacy policies and terms.
New users are entitled to a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen subscription plan will commence, and the applicable fee will be charged.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel through your Apple or Google subscription settings.
AccentAbility reserves the right to change the subscription fees for any of its plans at any time. Any changes to pricing will be communicated to users in advance through in-app notifications or email. If you have an active subscription at the time of a pricing change, your existing rate will remain in effect until the end of your current billing period. After that, the new rate will apply unless you cancel your subscription.
Purchases made via the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies. Users must request refunds directly through Apple's refund system.
For purchases made via the Google Play Store, AccentAbility offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time purchases only. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to contact@accentability.com within 14 days of the purchase date. Beyond the initial 14-day period, all sales are final and non-refundable. Subscription renewals are also non-refundable. Users are responsible for managing cancellations before the renewal date.
AccentAbility does not offer refunds for promotional offers, discounted plans, or rewards earned through referrals.

AccentAbility reserves the right to investigate and take action against any misuse of the Referral Program. Prohibited activities include:
Users are encouraged to share their referral links publicly, including on forums or social media channels, as long as the referrals are genuine and follow the spirit of the program.
AccentAbility reserves the right to withhold, deny, or revoke rewards and to suspend or terminate any account involved in suspected abuse without prior notice.
The Referral Program is a seasonal promotional offer. AccentAbility may modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time, providing users with 30 days' advance notice via email or in-app notifications. Rewards earned before the termination date will be honored if eligibility criteria are met.

Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.
AccentAbility may periodically remove or reset stored content, including past practice History, to maintain service efficiency. Users are encouraged to revisit or re-practice content before its scheduled clearance. AccentAbility is not liable for data removed as part of such maintenance processes.
AccentAbility relies on third-party services, including API providers, for certain functionalities. While we strive for uninterrupted service, we are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party outages or service issues.
While we strive to provide uninterrupted access, AccentAbility may experience temporary disruptions due to maintenance, third-party service outages, or unforeseen circumstances. Temporary service interruptions under 7 consecutive days do not entitle users to refunds or compensation. In the case of disruptions lasting longer than 7 consecutive days, affected users may request a partial prorated refund at our discretion.
AccentAbility utilizes third-party AI services, including language generation models, text-to-speech (TTS) voice synthesis, and pronunciation assessment tools, to provide educational content and feedback. While we strive to ensure high-quality service, we do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, pronunciation correctness, or reliability of any AI-generated content, including synthesized speech output.
Practice sentences generated by AI models, pronunciation scoring, and synthesized voice examples are offered for educational purposes only and may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or unexpected pronunciations. AccentAbility is not responsible for any errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or offensive material arising from the use of third-party services.
The pronunciation scores, assessments, and feedback provided through AccentAbility are intended to assist users in improving their speaking skills. These assessments are automatically generated by third-party AI services and do not represent professional linguistic evaluations. AccentAbility does not warrant that the assessments are scientifically validated, error-free, or representative of native speaker judgments.
AccentAbility offers a Credit system to access specific features such as Scenario Practice, Script Practice, and History where you can access past sentences that users have tried. Paid subscribers receive a fixed amount of Credits each month as part of their subscription. Free trial users may also receive a limited number of Credits during their trial period. Additional Credits may be purchased separately through the app.
Credits are only usable while a user has an active subscription or is within a valid free trial period. If a user's subscription expires or is canceled, and the account reverts to Free status, any remaining unused Credits will be retained in the account but will become temporarily inaccessible until the user re-subscribes. Credits are non-transferable, non-refundable, and have no cash value. AccentAbility reserves the right to adjust the value, distribution, or redemption of Credits at its sole discretion. In such cases, users will be notified of material changes in advance when required by law or platform policy.
AccentAbility allows users to earn additional practice or challenge attempts by sharing the app through designated Share buttons within the app. This opportunity is subject to a fixed daily limit, and any earned reward will typically be granted immediately upon successful share. In rare cases, due to system malfunction or third-party limitations, the reward may not be granted properly. If this occurs, users may report the issue by emailing contact@accentability.com or using the "Share your thoughts" feature in the Profile menu. While AccentAbility will make efforts to resolve the issue and may offer compensation, such compensation is not guaranteed.
Users may upload profile photos and input personal information such as names and countries. You are solely responsible for the content you submit. By uploading such information, you grant AccentAbility a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and store this content for purposes related to the operation and promotion of the Service. AccentAbility is not liable for any disputes or consequences arising from the use of real names, profile photos, or personal identifiers submitted by users. If a user uploads any content that is inappropriate, offensive, or clearly not intended for public or respectful use, AccentAbility reserves the right to remove such content and penalize or suspend the user's account at its sole discretion.
Users may submit testimonials through the Profile menu or other designated areas of the Service. By submitting a testimonial, you agree to allow AccentAbility to use your in-app information (such as username, name, profile photo, and country) and your submitted comment for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to our website, social media, and advertising materials.
If you wish to have your testimonial removed after submission, please contact us at contact@accentability.com. We will make reasonable efforts to remove the testimonial; however, removal may take up to 30 business days due to production timelines or contractual obligations in ongoing campaigns.
AccentAbility features a leaderboard that may display your name, country, and score. By participating in challenges or leaderboards, you consent to having this information publicly displayed to other users.
If you prefer not to share your true identity, you may use a pseudonym instead of your real name and picture.
AccentAbility disclaims all liability for user interpretation, misuse, or third-party actions related to public leaderboard information.
AccentAbility is intended for educational purposes only. While our tools assist in improving English pronunciation and fluency, individual progress varies. We do not guarantee that users will achieve native-level proficiency or fluency. Personal effort, practice frequency, and individual aptitude significantly impact results.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AccentAbility shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues arising from your use of the Service.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
